Before Jovanca T. Frolijk graduated from the University of Leiden in Dutch Civil Law in 2016 she obtained a Bachelor of Laws in Dutch Law as well as a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a Master’s of Science in Security Policies and Law Enforcement (Veiligheidsbeleid en Rechtshandhaving). As a student she worked at the Municipality of The Hague, Netherlands as interviewer and The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs as consular information officer, and held internships at the Police Department in Aruba and the University of Leiden as researcher and several law offices in the Netherlands as legal assistant.
After having worked as a support lawyer in Aruba, Jovanca T. Frolijk was sworn in as a lawyer (2018). She has completed her mandatory training and has been active since primarily in the field of civil and corporate law and corporate governance, advising and litigating on behalf of private and public entities on complex matters. Currently, Jovanca T. Frolijk is the secretary of the Aruba Bar Association.
